Sport Participation Intern Recruitment
UoM Sport is recruiting a Sport Participation Intern who will oversee the our annual participation programme. Each year UoM Sport engages over 13,000 students and staff in a range of sport, physical activity, and wellbeing sessions delivered across campus. The Sport Participation Intern will coordinate the programme, working with student leaders to provide opportunities to engage those who wouldn’t get involved in our wider sport or physical activity programmes.
The Sport Intern will work with the colleagues across the sport department to support other programmes and initiatives, as well as take a lead role with mass participation events such as the PurpleWave.
The candidate will work with colleagues to plan and produce content for UoM Sports social media platforms including our webiste, ensuring promotion of programmes and activities reach the widest audience.
This role will enable the post-holder to gain experience in delivering a large project in a large multi-faceted organisation as well as exposure to sport development, sport programme administration and marketing and communications. General administrative skills will be developed which are transferable across the sector and will enable applied experience and understanding should a candidate be interested in learning more about the sport sector.
