by | Mar 7, 2024 | Sport News | 0 comments

We are pleased to announce that Megan Bassett has been selected as the new Sport Sabbatical Officer for 2024/25. Megan will start on the 1st July and is taking over from Miara Pipe who will be finishing with us at the end of that month following a handover process.

Megan is currently the Mental Health representative on the UoM Sports Executive, the Campus Netball League Coordinator as well as founder and Chairman of the Mixed Netball Club, which she manages alongside her Neuroscience degree. Megan joins the team with a real desire to promote the value of sport across the University community and is specifically passionate about using sports as a means to enhance mental health, wellbeing and overall student experience.

I am ecstatic to have been selected for this position! I am incredibly eager to dive even deeper into my involvement with UoM Sport in the upcoming year, especially in enhancing the student experience through new and exciting initiatives. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to follow in Miara’s footsteps, and I am fully committed to upholding the esteemed standards and ambitious goals of UoM Sport
