Employability

A Core Value of the University of Manchester, and a word that probably doesn't mean much to a lot of you. The world after university can be difficult and often it takes more than a degree to get a job.

Employability covers everything else on your CV that makes you stand out from the crowd. Sports, Volunteering, Officiating; all of these can be used to increase your Employability Skills. To learn more about these skills, visit the Careers website.

Don't just plod through your time at university, do something. Give back to the community where you will spend the best years of your life.

Here are some examples of what you can do with SPORT Manchester:

HEAR Certificates

Higher Education Academic Report (HEAR) is a certificate that goes with your degree, something to show that you did more than just study. The Sports Volunteer Scheme can help towards your HEAR Certificate, and logging volunteering hours is a great way to improve your employability.

To learn more about HEAR, look at the website.
