About the Club

At the University of Manchester, the formidable Women’s netball club represents the University in a variety of BUCs leagues. During the 2017/18 season, our 1st team competed in the Northern Premier League, beating Loughborough’s 1st team and achieving 4th place. 3 out of 5 teams achieved promotions last season meaning this season’s competition will be fierce and sure to be extremely exciting. This coming season, the club aims to maintain the high standards of netball we have achieved so far for all 6 teams. Alongside training, the girls participate in fitness and various social events, ensuring both optimum performance and guaranteed enjoyment. As a performance sport, the club offers a high level of training and competition to individuals, whilst greatly enhancing anyone's university experience.

Club Philosophy

As a proudly all-female led sport, Manchester University Netball Club aims to provide a highly competitive and friendly environment. Team work and dedication are at the core of the clubs values, and play an active role in the success of the club and each individual. With a significant amount of members, the club also works hard to increase participation and improve the standard of netball throughout the North West, by participating in external tournaments and matches, as well as assisting with both Sporticipate and Campus League, providing a strong network of sporting opppertunities throughout the university.

We are proud to have 6 very high performing teams, allowing us to offer more young women the opportunity to represent their university in Netball. Each team are equally supported and given the means necesseary to thrive and improve.
