About the Club

We are a very wide ranging and experienced Judo club, with skills ranging from beginners to active international players. We regularly train with a former multiple Paralympic gold medallist and a former multiple British Champion. Our coach, Steve Pullen, has trained the British Squad and received an MBE, among other honours, for his commitment towards Judo. We provide many opportunities for members to compete if they wish to, or simply train recreationally. So, regardless of your skill level, you can turn up and have a great session; beginners are always welcome! See you on the mat!

Club Philosophy

We pride ourselves in our diverse range of abilities, so that anyone (from an international competitor to a complete beginner with knowledge of the sport) can turn up and have a great session. We're all looking to improve our Judo, but with different personal goals. The individual success can be reflected in multiple ways: Achieving a higher grade, being successful in competitions or seeing your fitness and confidence improve. We believe that everyone has the right to come and train and our members are all extremely supportive of each other. Always do judo.
