About the Club

Jiu Jitsu is a club that is open to all, no matter what your ability level or experience with martial arts. Jiu Jitsu is a martial art focussed on self-defence and primarily uses throws, strikes and grapples to achieve this.

The club is affiliated with the Jitsu Foundation and practices the Shorinji Kan style of Jitsu.

Novices and newcomers get their first session free and have two weeks to try it out before insurance is required so there’s no excuse to not come down to the mat and train.

Club Philosophy

Our wide range of abilities allows anyone to come to a session and enjoy learning to protect themselves while boosting their confidence. Everyone has a respectful and friendly attitude allowing beginners to jump right in and get involved easily.

We aim to develop the students skills in Jitsu, advancing them through the numerous belts, at their own pace, and this is assisted by multiple gradings throughout the year.
