About the Club

The University Futsal Club was founded in 2009 and after just 3 years has establish itself as a strong futsal club within the Futsal university community.

For the first time they will be playing in the highest national university league and our aim is to become BUCS National Champions in order to play the European Futsal University Championships!

In addition, you will have the opportunity to train periodically (and play if you have got what it takes!) with the FA and Northern League Champions Manchester Futsal Club in the FA National Futsal League! An amazing and achievable challenge but for that we need you!

Now it is time to show England what Manchester is made of! 1, 2, 3…UMFC!

Club Philosophy

Ever wondered how some of the world's most skillful players developed their ability to beat opponents at will? How did players such as Messi, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Iniesta or Xavi developed the skills that have taken their game to the highest level?

Futsal! Futsal has provided these players with the platform to become some of the world's most technically gifted and exciting players. No other game explores the skill, energy and fitness required to beat players and show the flair, drive and ball manipulation that can leave the opponent standing.

Sporticipate Futsal

The university offers FREE futsal sessions for the university community for both students and staff at The University of Manchester!

Once you sign up, you can also try out other sports for free, with over 70 hours of free sport available each week!

When and where?

Futsal sessions run twice weekly at the Sugden Sports Centre on Saturdays (Hall A) from 3.00pm-5.00pm and Thursdays (Hall B) 5.00pm - 6.00pm.

Futsal gives participants the opportunity to learn the sport and how it differs to football as well as play friendly matches. The coach will organise the session and arrange suitable matches, so feel free to come along as an individual or part of a team. Just wear suitable clothing, indoor footwear and have a bottle of water at hand. We hope to see you there.
