About the Club

We are one of the largest sports clubs at the University of Manchester with over 100 active members.

We train twice a week at Manchester Grammar School throughout the academic year and we also run a range of indoor competitions throughout the winter. These are open to all abilities and both members and non-members..

In the summer we run 4 BUCS teams competing in various divisions within the Northern League. We also have 2 friendly sides that play against university societies and local clubs.

Each year the club organises at least one international tour, please see our website for details.

Club Philosophy

The UMCC prides itself on its inclusive nature and offering cricket at every level of ability. From newcomers to the game to first class standard players, everyone is welcome in the club and will receive outstanding coaching at all levels. The club prides itself on having a clear three tier development pathway, with the Campus league, Midweek League and BUCS leagues the three tiers, with many players rapidly moving up the standards. Make 2017/18 the year you join the UMCC!

About the Club

This year the boys and girls teams are merging so that we have a bigger, more grounded club. The plan is that we will have separate training sessions once a week as well as an optional mixed training with the 5ths and 6ths. The socials and various tournaments will then be mixed. Cricket is the perfect sport for beginners and experienced players alike- with its combination of tactical and skillful play it is a hugely rewarding and sociable sport!

Club Philosophy

Have fun and grow in our ability as the year goes on...!
