UoM Sport

Sport at UoM

Playing sport at the University is a great way to stay fit, make lifelong friendships and enjoy life outside of your academic studies.

There are a number of different programmes you can get involved in to play sport at The University of Manchester that range from something for a beginner right through to our next aspiring Olympian or Paralympian.

Sports Clubs

We offer 42 student-run sports clubs all of which are part of the Athletic Union. Our sports clubs span across 38 different sports. Some of our clubs also compete in BUCS and Christie Championship.

In addition to the Athletic Union, there are a number of sports societies offered by Students' Union.

If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of then look no further!

Are you a beginner or want to try a new sport? Our Sporticipate programme is exactly what you are looking for!

Sporticipate offers 50+ hours of free, coached sport and fitness sessions for both students and staff, delivered around campus.

Campus Sport
