Fitness & Wellbeing

Staying physically and mentally fit is an essential part of our everyday lives to keep a good work and play life balance.


Here at the University of Manchester we offer many activities and guidance that can help you achieve this balance.


Be Active is our main fitness programme. It offers a broad range of fitness classes taking place in our Wellbeing Rooms. All sessions cater for the complete beginner to the regular exerciser and are ran in a fun and a friendly environment.

In addition to this programme, more fitness classes are on offer across our facilities.

Running & Walking

Running and walking are one of the simplest exercises to get started with. We offer various groups of runners and walkers that cater to all abilities.


Our wellbeing offer links with the wider university on the 6 ways to wellbeing. We also provide wellbeing services such as Massage & Beauty, Osteopathy and Physiotherapy.
